| Implementing projects in post conflict environments is a great undertaking which can only be accomplished by a devoted support network, spearheaded by selfless individual initiative. The Sharbat Gula Justice Center was founded by Fareed Osman. A native of Afghanistan, Fareed was raised in the United States. Upon return to his homeland to serve during Operation Enduring Freedom, with US Special Operations Forces, he was inspired to create the center to refocus the world's attention on the plight of women in the post Taliban 9/11 era in Afghanistan, regionally and globally. It is his conviction that for their to be true equality of men and women, it is men who must stand up for the rights of women to be fully manifested and realized. Only then will men realize their own true potential and can there exist the directional approach to the age old aspiration for "World Peace". We can not have world peace when half the population of the planet is oppressed by man made instiutions, systems of governance, traditions and age old dogma which are keeping humanity shackled in chains. We assert, that all human beings are born noble and only education (spiritual and academic) can draw out from within human hearts the true character of inherent noblity in man which signifies that he is not just mere chemicals and atoms but is a spiritual being endowed with limitlesss capacity to do signficant good in service to his fellow beings. |
